The Twin-lock crown has a gasket inside and contacts the tube when crown is screwed down. The Trip-lock has an additional o-ring at base of tube which is visible when crown is unscrewed, in addition to a gasket inside the crown. I just unscrewed the crown on my SubC and screwed it back in. Seems like the gasket engages while you're turning it. So in your case, when you begin to feel pressure.
